PGMNHS GRANTS ARCA A ONE-YEAR STUDY LEAVE

Laurita P. Arca of Values Education Department was given by their

school's administrator the chance to enjoy a one-year study leave

beginning November 4, 2005 to November 4, 2006.

RIENDA REPLACES DE LEON AS PGMNHS ANNEX'S OIC

Mrs. Lucila M. De Leon already left PGMNHS Annex prior to her retirement this coming December 2005. Mrs. Merced B. Rienda, the department head of TLE, was chosen by the DepEd's Division Office as the new OIC of the school. She started serving the position last November 2005.

Congrats to PELS for the success of the 4TH NATIONAL ELEARNING CONVENTION held at the University of Santo Tomas last August 25-26, 2005. Complete news about the convention will soon be available here.

Congrats also to the speakers for the very informative talks! The things they shared will surely create a great impact to the Philippine's educational sector. Some of the abstracts and full papers may also be viewed here soon.

Teacher Laury of PGMNHS Annex presented her paper entitled "Mixing Creativity and Initiative - Making Elearning Possible in a Resource-Poor School (The Case of PGMNHS Annex) during the 4th National Elearning Convention held at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila last August 25-26, 2005. Another astonishing thing > Annex students now undergo e.learning amidst the absence of computers there. How? Creativity is the answer. Miss Laury Arca makes it possible through publishing modules and tests in this website. Once already on-line, students may read the modules and take the corresponding tests at their most convenient time. Results are available as soon as quiztakers finish taking up a test. Great, isn't it?

Gary Lopez, the ever groovy Mathematics teacher of PGMNHS Annex, is reassigned to teach at the main campus next school year. He claims his heart really belongs to Annex but he wants to be practical. His boarding house is near to the main campus that he will now be free from the burden of paying fares. Anyway, Good luck Gary! We will miss you a lot...Promise!

* Finally, LAURY had been able to introduce the PGMNHS Annex's website to MRS. LUZ DE LEON (Officer IN-Charge, PGMNHS Annex) during the general faculty meeting with DR. CARMEN LABRAGUE (Supervisor, Social Studies Dept., Division of Laguna). She made it known to everybody in annex that their website is already on line that anybody may already publish his works through it.

* MRS. MYRNA BAUTISTA, one of the best Mathematics teachers in the whole PGMNHS, got excited to use the said website that she immediately asked for it from Laury after the meeting and promised to open it as soon as she's already home.

* My dear fellow annex teachers, it's high time for us to rejoice, to be glad....because the time for us to rise has already come....Cheers for our website! Cheers for Ma'am de Leon! Cheers for us! Long live PGMNHS Annex!

Laury Peraz Arca, one of the Values Education teachers of PGMNHS Annex got a scholarship from UP during her second semester in Ph.D. Sabbatical leave however was not given unto her by PGMNHS because according to the Annex's OIC, the school does not allow more than one teacher to go on this kind of leave at the same year. Arca, did not mind however the difficulties in complying to the requirements both of her courses in UPLB and of her teaching profession at PGMNHS. She took five subjects last semester that she now has a total of 33 Ph.D. units. Arca claims that she has to sacrifice her sleeping time just to cope up with the very high demands of all the subjects she takes. She is, according to her, is determined to finish her course soon.

Bermar Idian of IV Clover tops this year's graduating class of PGMNHS Annex. He got an average of ____________. Teachers prove that he indeed deserves this honors due to his consistent good performance all throughout the year. Congratulations Bermar and good luck!

Congratulations to MERLEN B. SANCHA for the award! Your CTEA family is very proud of you! Keep up the good work.

You owe us a blow-out not just "in" town but "out" of town. Don't forget however to have your feet firmly planted on the ground because success becomes chaotic when placed in the head.

Thirteen is a lucky day for 2004-2005 graduating class of annex. They will be formally announced as graduates on that day of April 2004. Guest speaker who was personally chosen by the OIC comes from Manila. Strike or not, the OIC finally decided to let the event take place on its original date.
